Hello world, for those of you that don’t know me, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Daonte Sierra. Some people know me as one of the most memorable and probably controversial cast members on the WETV reality television show “Love After Lockup”/ “Life After Lockup.” People that know me on a personal level know me simply as Daonte, the humble, hard-working guy that can’t seem to always get it right but has a very good heart ultimately.

I’ve always been a person with a whole lot of pride and very reluctant to ask anyone for anything, even when I need it the most, because I feel like it makes you less of a man whenever you can’t stand on your own two feet. At this point, however, I come more humble than I’ve ever been before, swallowing my pride and finally asking for a helping hand for once in my life.

I’ve fallen into a situation where I’ve had some very unexpected and scary medical issues happen to me. I’ve suffered from two back-to-back seizures that have now caused my body a great deal of pain and, most importantly, have now forced me to be out of work for six months. Yes, I am taking the necessary steps to do what I need to do to be hopefully taken care of by my job, but that takes a while to process. So, in the meantime, I have to do whatever I have to do to survive at this point.

I do have a son to provide for, which I ultimately feel like I’m letting him down right now because I can’t go to work, and ultimately I also just need to survive myself. So once again, if people can find it in their hearts to help out a struggling father trying to make it and survive on his own at this point, it would really wholeheartedly mean the world to me. Nobody has to do anything they don’t want to; I’m not the type to do this type of stuff ultimately, but any helping hand would be greatly appreciated. Sometimes in life, you have to swallow your pride and become humble. I come to you all more humble than I’ve ever been before. I thank you all for taking the time out to listen to my story
