My name is Danyel Brewer and I am in my last year as a musical theatre major at Manhattan School of Music. It has always been my dream to pursue a career in music and performing arts and I need your help to make it happen!

When I came to New York to begin theatre school, I had never even been in a musical. After 3 years, I played the lead role in Into the Woods as the Witch for hundreds of people. My undeniable passion and dedication to my craft, has carried me through the journey of conservatory education, which many black students rarely get the opportunity to experience. My family and I did not know how we would pay such high tuition costs, but by moving in faith and with the continuous support from our community, I have finally made it to my last year of college.

I have now been in 4 musicals, written and released my own music, have been in several concerts, networked with dozens of other artists and industry professionals, and have continued to work hard to make my dreams a reality. With your help, I will walk across the stage and receive my first degree with a Bachelor of Music in 2026. I can't thank you all enough for believing in me and your continuous love and support!
