My name is Dany, and I've found myself escaping domestic violence. I left everything behind. The violence didn't come from a partner, but a parent. It's taken ten years of abuse for me to finally jump out that window and not look back.

I'm 34 years old, and I weigh

104lbs, I've got IBD, which has slowly been eating my stomach and intestines. Suffering from chronic stress is killing me, literally. The last two years, Ive been caring for someone who can care for themselves, while I physically wither away. I refuse to continue to do so.

I'm moving into a home across the country, but unfortunately at 104lbs I have nothing to offer society at the moment. The money donated goes towards:

• Gas to get me around the city, to the advocate as well as a clinic visit, back and forth. It won't be a one-and-done visit.

• Rent. The home I'm moving into, obviously rent is an adult thing.

• Food. I plan on visiting social services as well, food pantries are difficult for me because I have IBD, I won't be able to get everything I need there.

• Clothing, shower items, personal hygiene items.

• General care, some clothing that fits so I can look like a human for job interviews as soon as possible. Almost nothing I have fits; I never planned on losing all my weight.
