Support Dante Combs Jr. Track Dreams

Hi, my name is Dante Combs, and I’m a 16-year-old track athlete entering my senior year at Bishop Miege High School this fall.

This summer, I’ll be competing in AAU and open track meets across the country, including the prestigious Great Southwest Track & Field Classic where I’ll be representing Team Missouri. I specialize in the 400m dash and 4x400m relay, and these events are more than just races to me—they’re stepping stones toward my dream of earning a full-ride athletic and academic scholarship to a major university.

Last year, thanks to the incredible support from my first GoFundMe campaign, I was able to make it all the way to the Junior Olympics in Greensboro, North Carolina—an experience that fueled my passion and raised the bar for what I know I can achieve.

This year, the stakes are even higher. My travel schedule is packed with elite meets across the country, and between flights, chartered buses, meet registration fees, hotels, meals, training costs, and club outings, this summer is expected to cost around $10,000.

My dad challenged me to take full responsibility for my journey this season—not just on the track but off it too. He wants me to have "skin in the game" so I can better appreciate the grind and push myself even harder. I’ve taken that challenge to heart.

Off the track, I’m just as dedicated. At Bishop Miege, I currently hold a 3.5 GPA, have completed several Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and I’m enrolled in more AP classes this summer to get ahead on college credits—positioning myself for academic scholarships as well.

This GoFundMe isn’t just about covering costs. It’s about believing in the journey of a young athlete chasing a big dream.
