Hi friends, my name is Reva and this is my partner Brian. Like many of you, we’ve been deeply moved by Danta’s story.

Danta was recently hit by a vehicle in a hit-and-run, and Brian and I were there that night. Since then, we’ve visited him in the hospital, learned more about his life, and witnessed something heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time: Danta has a difficult time asking for help, even when he truly needs it.

He is recovering from surgery and will soon be discharged to stay with his aunt, but he’s starting from almost nothing. We also learned his bike was stolen just one day before the accident, and that bike was his only way to get to work.

We are raising money to purchase an e-bike (with a helmet, tracker, and lock) so that once he’s healed, he can get back and forth to work safely. We’re also hoping to provide a few basic necessities for the small room he’ll be staying in, including a bed and essentials to help him rest and recover.
