Hi, my name is Dan. I was hit head on by another cyclist on my way to work. He was speeding around a blind corner and hit me. I suffered multiple skull fractures, a broken nose, damaged teeth, a ruptured eyeball, and my bike was broken in half.

I had multiple CT scans and have to see an eye specialist. I've lost some of my vision in my left eye and I'll have to get new glasses.

I missed a week of work and went back early because I can't afford to miss any more time. With these bills coming, I can't afford to either.

I'm left with expensive hospital bills and my only transportation was destroyed. My bike is everything to me. It's my joy, my freedom, and how I get to work. I don't have a car. I will be using these donations to pay for my medical bills, new glasses, and hopefully a new bike.

Cycling is my life. I bike everywhere. It's not just my transportation, it's also my happiness. I ride every September for the Great Cycling Challenge to raise money for childhood cancer and hope to be able to again this year.
