Support Dan's Fight Against Avascular Necrosis
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jessica and I'm creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my dad. If you know Dan from back in the day, you know he's a hardass, but you also know he's the hardest working man in the world. From the second my dad knew he was having a family, he did everything he could to ensure we had what we needed. My dad is not and never has been a lazy person and continuously does all the hard-work to give his family the best life he can.
As an infant, my dad suffered horrendous child abuse (by a non-relative) that resulted in major injuries to his tiny body including several broken bones across his entire body. Fast forward to today, it has resulted in insufferable injuries and early arthritis in his whole body that he's still fighting. We found out recently that he is suffering from Avascular Necrosis in his hip and he will need to undergo a total hip replacement (at only 49), due to his hip collapsing and dealing with literal bone death. This surgery requires nearly 2 months out of work, alongside weeks of PT both before and after surgery. His current situation leaves him at a standstill. My parents work tirelessly all day, 5 days a week and have fallen victim to the extremely difficult financial times we're all in.
That said, disability is not something he's eligible for and does not have paid medical leave available to him. I'm asking if anyone, out of the kindness of your hearts, could donate even just $1 to help my family through this difficult time. We have never asked for help or handouts, and even now have a hard time doing it, but I'll do whatever it takes to help my dad. He's been there for me my whole life and it's time I'm there for him. If you can't donate, please share this and help get the word out. Surgery is anticipated sometime in the next month or two, but with treatment, medications and several appointments starting now, he has a long road to recovery. Any funds raised will be used to help pay all the necessary copays, supplement lost income as well as help my mom be able to provide for the family of 4 on her own (herself, my dad and brother and sister) and pay for any medical necessities that come up during my dad's healing process.
Thank you so much for any and all help, we truly appreciate it more than you all know!
