My husband Dan and I have been married for 34 years, together for 35, and we have built a life filled with love, two wonderful children, and two precious grandchildren. In August 2022, after coming down with Covid, Dan went to the doctor, and through a series of tests, we received the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 lung and kidney cancer. He began treatment in December, but everything changed when we lost our health insurance in May 2025. Now, the bills are piling up, and we simply cannot pay for the treatments, scans, and tests that are desperately needed to give Dan a fighting chance.

Dan has always been the main supporter of our family, working hard to provide for us and keep our home—the place where we have created so many memories. I have worked as a caregiver, helping others when needed, but now my husband needs me more than ever. Being without his medication and tests has left him struggling with pain and strength, and the stress of not being able to support him or keep our home is overwhelming. I never imagined we would be facing this at this stage in our lives. I want to cherish every day with Dan and honor him for being the kind, honest, and decent man he is. Our faith has played an important role in this journey, and the prayers and support from friends have given us strength to keep going.

I cannot do this alone. Dan is our hero, and we want to love and cherish him every day. From our hearts, souls, and prayers, we ask you to stand with us.
