Hello,

I am reaching out to ask for your support for my stepdad, Dan, who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Sadly, his cancer has progressed rapidly, spreading to his liver, the lymph nodes in his abdomen, and most recently, his lungs. The initial hope was to begin chemotherapy to shrink the tumors and explore further treatment options. However, due to the severity of his diagnosis and his quickened decline, Dan is unable to work. My mom, who is his primary caregiver, is doing what she can by watching a few children, but their savings are quickly dwindling.

Dan has been hospitalized for over a week as doctors work to find a treatment plan that will give us as much time with him as possible. Our greatest wish is to bring Dan home so he can spend precious time surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and loved ones.

We are seeking help to alleviate the growing financial burden. This includes covering the cost of Dan's health insurance, travel expenses for future trips to Syracuse for chemotherapy and medical appointments, and any other unforeseen needs that may arise in the coming months.
