My name is Allyson. I created this GoFundMe on behalf of my husband. Danny is an amazing human being. He’s selfless, loving & enjoys giving hugs lol. At one of his recent Dr’s appointments, he was diagnosed with having a Morgagni hernia. This isn’t your typical hernia. A Morgagni hernia is a rare congenital diaphragmatic defect that occurs when abdominal contents protrude into the chest cavity. In other words, he has a hole in his diaphragm & if not fixed will continue growing, allowing his intestines & organs to slip thru that hole and fill his chest cavity, which will eventually stop his heart. Danny is a worshipper & loves preaching Gods word, but he is already experiencing side effects of the hernia in his diaphragm ..shortness of breath & wheezing. His doctor also made us aware that a piece of fat has already slipped through the hole & is next to his heart. We’ve gone through his insurance & because he has a high out of pocket payout, it’s making it hard for us to get his surgery as quick as possible.
