[Help Danny Fight for His Life After Devastating Cancer Surgery]

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I am reaching out on behalf of Danny Jung, a 38-year-old man who has been bravely battling hypopharyngeal cancer (throat cancer) while living with his elderly mother. After completing chemotherapy and radiation treatments in 2024, Danny and his loved ones hoped he had overcome the worst. However, in late 2024, the cancer tragically returned, forcing him to undergo a life-altering surgery on January 9, 2025.

[A Difficult Surgery with Life-Changing Consequences]

To remove the cancer, doctors had to perform a total laryngectomy (removal of the larynx), making it impossible for Danny to ever speak again. In addition, they had to remove a large amount of skin from his thigh and shoulder to reconstruct the affected area in his neck.

As a result of this surgery, Danny:

* Can no longer breathe through his nose or mouth and now relies on a tracheostomy tube to survive.

* Can no longer eat or swallow and is entirely dependent on a G-tube for nutrition.

* Has suffered severe post-surgical complications, including multiple holes and leaks in his esophagus, leading to four emergency surgeries in just one month.

[His Elderly Mother’s Struggle]

Danny’s only caregiver is his elderly mother, who is in her mid-70s. She was working part-time at a beauty supply store to make ends meet, but she has been forced to stop working to care for Danny during his ongoing medical crisis. The financial burden has become unbearable.

Danny’s body has been weakened not only by cancer but also by the damage from radiation and multiple surgeries. Each time he hopes for recovery, he faces another emergency operation. His future remains uncertain, and his mother is exhausted—physically, emotionally, and financially.
