Support Danny Webb's Fight Against Cancer

My dad, Danny Webb, was recently diagnosed with colon cancer.
On April 18, 2025, he was admitted to Shannon Hospital in San Angelo. They removed a piece of his colon and he now has a colostomy bag. They said maybe in 6 months they can reattach the colon and he won’t have to have the bag anymore. The doctors have said there is a spot on his liver that’s cancerous too. They did do radiation on this spot. They were originally looking at a spot on his tailbone too. They have said he will need chemotherapy and radiation. My mom, Susan, stayed up at the hospital with him the whole time. He spent 12 days in the hospital and then he was finally released on April 29. He went home to Ozona and then he had to come back to the ER in San Angelo on May 3rd. They admitted him to the hospital again and did a CT scan. They said he has anther blockage but they’re hoping it will work itself out. They’re giving him antibiotics and fluids. He finally got released on May 6th. They said everything was going good.
On Wednesday May 7th they went back to the ER because his hip had been hurting but the found out everything was ok. On Friday May 9th he had an appointment with the oncologist. He said that the pain in his hip could be related to the spot on his tailbone. Mom and dad asked about going to MD Anderson. The oncologist said he’d call and get it set up. They would start his chemo here in San Angelo until he can get in down at MD Anderson though.
Well he had to go back to the hospital on May 11. The spot on his tailbone was causing severe pain. He was admitted and they said that spot apparently made the bones in that area weak and caused fractures to form. He went in on May 13 for them to put surgical cement into those fractures. They said it would lessen his pain by 70%. He said it did lessen his pain but didn’t take care of all of it. They worked the next few days to get his pain under control. He was finally released on May 18.
He went for chemotherapy on May 20th but he wound up having to go back to the ER. They did scans and said he had a few broken ribs in his upper back. He hasn’t had any pain from those though. They also found out that he had some fluid by his lung. They took that fluid out and said it wasn’t pneumonia but they sent it off to get checked. He has had pretty good pain from his tailbone area too. In the next day or so, they did give him a round of chemo. They eventually came back and said the fluid was good and nothing was wrong. The doctors are trying to get him to eat more since he hasn’t really had any appetite. His appetite is slowly coming back now. Hopefully he’ll be discharged soon.
This is going to be a long road to recovery. We’re all in agreement that MD Anderson in Houston would be the perfect place for treatment. His insurance and Medicare will pay for some of this treatment but there’s still lodging and food costs that will need to be covered. We’re probably looking at at least 6 weeks of treatment. That’s on the high side. It could change.
We are reaching out to all our family and friends to help us get through this trying time!
All donations will be used for medical expenses including lodging, food, and any medical bills that might need to be paid.
Thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated as well! Thank you all in advance!!
