Help Danny Slaton Fight Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome with a Life-Saving Bone Marrow Transplant

Update: Danny has been scheduled to check into the James Cancer Hospital @ Ohio State to begin his chemotherapy on December 20th. His transplant has been scheduled for December 26th.

Dear Friends & Family,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts, but also with hope. Danny has been bravely battling a rare and life-threatening condition known as Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome, a genetic disorder that affects the immune system and blood platelets, leaving him vulnerable to severe infections, bleeding, and other serious complications.

Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome is an incredibly rare condition, and managing it requires constant medical care and treatment. Danny’s doctors have recommended a bone marrow transplant as the best course of action to give him a fighting chance at a healthier, longer life. A bone marrow transplant is the only potential cure, but it is a highly complex procedure with significant costs and risks.

Why We Need Your Help
The road to a successful bone marrow transplant is long and expensive. Due to the nature of the transplant, Danny will be away from home and his family for at least 3-4 months and will not be able to work for at least 6 months. The cost of the procedure, post-transplant care, medications, and travel for specialized treatment adds up quickly. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover all critical expenses, leaving his family with the financial burden of these costs.

We are humbly asking for your support to help alleviate some of the financial pressure so that Danny and his family can focus on his health and recovery. Your donation will help pay for the medical expenses, medications, travel, and recovery.

Every Contribution Makes a Difference
Even if you are unable to donate, sharing this with your friends & family will help spread the word and help support Danny & his family during these difficult times.

If you would feel more comfortable donating to Danny’s Venmo or Apple Pay directly, please contact his brother, Ian Slaton via Facebook messenger.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and generosity. Your kindness means everything to us.

With deepest gratitude,
The Slaton Family
