Danny Fumarola, my brother-in-law, was recently and unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Danny is a retired police officer with the Rensselaer City Police Department and currently works as the food and beverage director for Marriott in Albany. He will be receiving treatment at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Westchester County. This diagnosis has prevented Danny from working, and it is creating many unexpected medical and travel expenses. It has made an already emotional time exponentially harder for Danny, my sister Jodie, and their 9-year-old daughter Kiara.

The funds raised through this campaign will help cover medical bills, travel and lodging in NYC for Danny's treatment, and everyday expenses. Danny's inability to work, combined with Jodie needing to take substantial time off to be with him during treatments, has put a financial strain on their family. Your support will help them focus on what matters most: Danny's health and spending precious time together as a family.
