Support Danny Clay's Heart Transplant Journey

My name is Danny Clay. I am currently inpatient at Emory Hospital and have been for 2 weeks. As some of you know, I went through having an LVAD placed to support the left side of my heart that had quit working. After weeks of therapy and lots of hard work from myself and the physical therapist, I thought I was on a good road to a successful journey, but now the right side of my heart has stopped working. This leaves me needing to go on a heart transplant list.

I am going through the Georgia Transplant Foundation. In order to sign up, I have to put up $5000, and the Transplant Foundation will match my $5000. This will go towards gas money and other necessities I will need due to me living so far away from Emory University. This transplant is my only hope. My heart has just quit working on me.

I want to thank all my family and friends for all the prayers and support. It’s so hard being in the hospital this time of the year with all the holidays. My girls need me well and back home with them.
