Support Dan Leach’s Recovery After Brain Surgery
Donation protected
Dan recently underwent brain surgery to fix a malformation/tumors in his brain. The malformation had ballooned and pressed on his nerves, causing partial facial paralysis. Unfortunately, the surgeons couldn't reach part of the malformation because it is tucked under the brain stem. He is undergoing another Angiogram today to develop a plan for addressing the portion of the malformation that was inaccessible during the initial surgery. This will help determine whether another surgical procedure is necessary or if a different approach is required.
Dan has always been a hard worker, and would NEVER ask for help, but due to the surgery and resulting facial paralysis causing partial vision loss, he is unable to work. He has been off work for months trying to figure out the cause of his facial paralysis.
With the brain surgery behind him, he remains in the hospital needing to focus on recovery and the journey ahead. His fiancée, Wendy who is now the only one working, has had to take time off work to care for Dan, placing a hardship on their household.
UPDATE: Dan will have to undergo another procedure on his brain, Monday 10/14 to get the spot they could not reach in the first procedure
If you are unable to donate, please share this post and send our dad Dan all the prayers for his medical journey ahead.
