Danielle “Dani” Rush has been battling serious illness for many years. Recently, she endured over 8 weeks in the hospital. Dani had 8 life-threatening surgeries in 10 days and spent over a month in ICU. She has battled Lupus that resulted in two failed kidney transplants, countless hospital stays, and now faces dialysis for the rest of her life. On top of these ongoing challenges, Dani has also undergone a colostomy and struggles with significant nutritional issues. Her physical and mental recovery is going to be a long one.

The emotional and physical toll of these health battles is immense, but the financial burden is just as overwhelming. Medical bills not covered by insurance continue to pile up, Dani is unable to work during her recovery, and Jay has taken time off through this latest nightmare to care for her.
