Hello!!

My name is Daniel, though many of my friends know me as “Stretch” because of my height and light hearted lanky-ness!
I am here reaching out into the ether as a last resort. Hoping someone, anyone, sees me.
It seems life has reached a tipping point, and all options I have personally to rely on, have proved futile. In all honesty, I’m really scared. I need help and I don’t know what to do at this point truly. Below is a sort of summary of events that lead me to this point, and where I am now. Thank you, truly, if you’ve even read this far.

In September of 25’ I hit a deer head on doing 60 mph and completely totaled my Honda CR-V. Once insurance paid out, I would spend the next month searching for a vehicle being lucky enough to have a friend who offered rides to work in the meantime.
With my life being spared due to the safety features in my aforementioned Honda, naturally I decided to buy another. This would be the beginning of a hell storm I could not have ever anticipated.
Once I had located, test drove, and viewed this CR-V, I decided it would be decent enough for my means and purchased it. Six Thousand Dollars. Gone.
Shortly after purchase, the seller left and I remained whilst trying to put insurance on the vehicle. Was not until this point that I realized the title info itself did not match the car in front of me. After a quick self-detective look around the car, I realized that although the make and model was correct on paper, the year printed on my title was 2007 while the car itself is a 2011 in person. I found that the VIN had been changed under the windshield to match the title it as well, even though it was a title for a 2007. Brand new silver rivets gave this away after closer inspection as they are supposed to be black. Heart was racing at this point, I knew something was wrong. Tried to reach the seller, and he had apparently gone ghost. Calls, texts, Facebook messages, all met with silence. I was circling my mind. How did I not notice, how did it happen so fast?

With no other options, I insured this CR-V and drove it the hour back home. Stopping at O’reilys Auto Parts for a quick OBD-2 scan for an engine light it had, more deceit was discovered.

On the data scan screen, this Honda’s computer hardware had shown that someone faked the mileage (Dash claimed 114,000 - Internal Computer shown 177,000)and had also given us a completely separate VIN from what was shown on the title and dash. Solidifying my previous suspicions into concrete realistic fears. I had just bought either a stolen, or crashed vehicle.

After long deliberations with Police, Detectives Units, State patrol, Title Enforcement & Investigations Officers, and VIN Verification Agencies. It was found that the CR-V thankfully is not stolen.

However, this headache has lead to me not having a car for a matter of weeks. My job found out I was having to get rides in, and without my own transportation, subsequently I was let go.

So now. Here I am. Without a car, without a job, and seemingly no way forward.
I have tried to apply with every place in walking distance, applied for remote work, am trying to build cash in any way I can to just stay afloat.

Whether you can donate $5 or $100, it all gets me a little closer to my goal.

If you took the time to even read this far. Thank you..genuinely. I am terrified, unsure, and afraid of what might come next.
Please. Any help is appreciated.
