Support Daniel's Journey to Safety and Stability

Hello, my name is Daniel (friends know me by Fang) and I'm making this GoFundMe as a cry for help. My current goal is to escape my birth-home and the state of Florida for the sake of my safety and mental health. I'm a 28 year old member of the LGBT community, am high-functioning autistic, and have been recently forced to move back into my parent's place. Due to my parents' constant neuroticism, continuous gaslighting and guilt tripping, problems with hoarding, and overall disregard for my mental health and well being, my living situation as a whole has become highly volatile. The house itself has also been an unsafe environment from the constant cigarette smoke in all rooms of the house, overabundance of cats that my parents own, and a major infestation of fleas due to said cats. My own attempts to alleviate these issues have fallen on deaf ears and each issue has only gotten worse. I am now desperately asking for help getting out of this place as it has been wearing on my mental health to such a degree that my physical health is being affected.

Major issues I am faced with are work in terms of wages, job market availability, and transportation. Wages in Florida do not justify the costs of living in the state making it also unfit to start a savings, and the job market here is unstable at best. In regards to transportation I am legally considered disabled due to mental conditions and was deemed unfit to operate a motor vehicle which greatly reduces the range at which I can travel to work. This leaves me with three remaining options: walking, biking, or ride-sharing. Due to these reasons and local conditions, I am unable to escape from this situation without outside assistance.

Funding this will ensure I can escape to safety. To add more context: the state of Florida has been a relatively unsafe place for anyone within the LGBT community lately and as the days go on I fear it's only going to degrade further resulting in an increasing concern for my own safety. The funding for this would go towards moving costs for the purposes of finding a new place to live that is much safer for members of my community. This will ensure I have rent and utilities for a few months in order to find work, as well as money for food.

In summary, for the sake of my mental health and physical well-being I cannot continue to live in these unsafe and unstable conditions. Due to the reasons outlined above, I strongly believe that creating this GoFundMe is the correct form of action in order to gain the assistance needed to escape to safety.
