Dear: World, Fellow Veteran's, Humans and just all around great people,
My name is Branden, and I am writing on behalf of my close friend and fellow OIF/OEF veteran, Daniel. Daniel served honorably in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. And I have had the privilege of serving alongside him aboard the USS BOXER LHD-4. He is not only a decorated veteran but one of the most selfless people I have ever known. Today, his family is facing overwhelming hardship, and I am asking for your consideration and support on their behalf.
Years ago, when I became homeless, Daniel was the person I called. Despite dealing with his own challenges at the time, he immediately told me to come stay with him. I was going through a divorce and brought significant personal baggage with me, yet none of that mattered to him. Even after I made serious mistakes, including involvement with Police, Daniel never turned his back on me. He has always been the steady presence for our tight-knit group of veterans and friends—someone who gives without ever asking for anything in return.
Recently, Daniel and his wife, Shanda, received joyful news that they were expecting twins. Daniel has always loved children and dreamed of being a father. They began preparing their home, buying baby supplies, and praying for a healthy future for their growing family. Tragically, during the pregnancy, Daniel and Shanda received the devastating news that they lost both twins. This loss has been emotionally crushing and deeply affected their family.
To make matters worse around this same time Daniel suffered a serious physical injury. After medical evaluations and imaging, doctors confirmed that he had sustained multiple severe injuries, including:
A broken hip
A fractured sternum
A severely damaged tailbone
Multiple broken ribs
and the anxiety creeped in and know that this road they were on was not about to get easy but even harder than they both ever imagined. These injuries have significantly limited his ability to work and provide for his family for months to come. As if that were not enough, in April, Daniel’s stepdaughter’s father passed away, and Daniel and Shanda now have full custody of her. Shortly afterward, Daniel’s truck broke down far from home. When they attempted to retrieve it using their second vehicle, that car also broke down. The second vehicle requires a replacement engine, with an estimated cost of approximately $2,000—an expense they are unable to cover at this time. I don't have much in any way that I could send or pay his bills if I had the means I would because this family deserves it in every single way. Daniel has always been a hardworking, God-fearing husband, father, son, and veteran. Now, Daniel and his family are in a position where they truly need help. Any assistance—financial support, resources, or referrals—would make a meaningful difference and help this family regain stability during an incredibly difficult season. let's keep this Veteran and family in his house that he built lets get this link out on every page. even if you'll think 5 dollars wouldn't matter, but it does every bit counts and every bit adds on. Thank you sincerely for your time, consideration, and any support you may be able to offer. Please feel free to contact me if additional information is needed.
Respectfully,
Branden
