It is hard to find the words to write something you never imagined your family would have to face.

Our sweet 2-year-old nephew, Daniel Thomas Triglia, was recently diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL), just two weeks after his baby brother Ryan Gerard was born, turning our family’s world upside down in an instant.

Daniel is truly the sweetest little boy. He is incredibly smart and curious and already has such a love for learning — especially his numbers, letters, and shapes. He can be shy when you first meet him, but once he warms up, his silly little personality comes shining through. He loves to laugh, play, learn, and make the people around him smile. And if there is one thing everyone who knows Daniel knows, it’s that his mother Kerri and his father Gerard are his whole world. He absolutely adores them, and there is nowhere he would rather be than right by their side.

At just two years old, Daniel should be spending his days learning new things, being silly, playing with his favorite toys, and soaking up every minute with Mom, Dad and his new baby brother, not undergoing cancer treatments and spending his days in a hospital. Watching someone so little and so precious begin this fight has been heartbreaking for all of us, but Daniel has already shown us just how brave and strong he is.

He is receiving treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering under the care of amazing doctors, nurses, and entire hospital staff. They have already cared for Daniel with such compassion, kindness, and dedication, providing our family with reassurance and comfort during an unimaginable time

He has Kerri and Gerard right beside him every step of the way, and for a little boy who loves his parents as much as Daniel does, having them there is everything. They have dropped everything to be by their son’s side while also trying to keep life as normal as possible for their family. There is a long road ahead, and right now, the last thing we want them to worry about is the financial burden that comes along with it.

This GoFundMe is so that all of us who love them, those who have been reaching out to help, and along with anyone touched by Daniel’s story — can come together and help carry even a small part of this weight for them.

Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help with the unexpected expenses that come with treatment, hospital stays, transportation, meals, everyday expenses, time away from work, and caring for their family throughout this journey. More than anything, we want Daniel’s mom and dad to be able to put all of their energy into what matters most: being by their little boy’s side, making him feel safe and loved, and helping him fight this.

If you are able to donate, our entire family will be forever grateful. If you aren’t able to, sharing Daniel’s story and keeping this beautiful little boy in your thoughts and prayers means just as much.

Daniel may only be two, but he already has an incredible army standing behind him. We will be there through every appointment, every treatment, every difficult day, every smile, every setback and every victory until the day we can say Daniel beat leukemia.

We can’t wait to see our sweet, smart, silly boy back doing what he loves most — learning his numbers, letters and shapes, making everyone laugh, and being right where he belongs back at home with his family and friends.

Please help us rally around Daniel and his family as he fights this battle. No family should have to walk this road alone. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for loving, praying for, and supporting our Dan the Man, his mom Kerri, his dad Gerard, and his new baby brother Ryan.
