Hello! My name is Danielle Spiegel. I am a college student who is attending Asbury University to pursue my dream of becoming a veterinarian and play college softball. Recently, my life has changed. Over the past year, I have been going to countless doctors for migraines after an injury that happened my senior year of high school.

When I was in Florida playing softball for St. Mary’s High School, I passed out one morning, which caused me to hit my head. I was in the care of Florida doctors, and they sent me back to sports without checking for a concussion or any serious head injury. Since this incident I have struggled with migraines, dizziness, and living a normal life. I have been in constant pain and can't remember when I went a day without one stabbing migraine. All while doctors have been trying to solve why I'm always in this state of

pain.

Just recently, when I started my freshman year at college, it was brought to my attention that I have post-concussion syndrome and a possible tear in the lining of my brain. Due to this discovery, my life has changed. I've been going to multiple PT appointments every week, taking medication to hopefully ease the pain, and battling insurance to cover my medical expenses.

It has been almost three months of trying to get an MRI scheduled to hopefully provide some answers about whether I need to have any type of further medical treatment for the tear in my brain. Insurance has stopped covering my medical treatment when I'm down in Kentucky, and when I tried to get my MRI scheduled back home, they claimed they can't get an MRI scheduled.

With this being said, it's been a long, stressful, and painful journey over this past year. I'm preparing to go back to Kentucky to finish up my first semester of college. So I am making this GoFundMe in hopes to reach a kind audience who is gracious enough to donate even ten dollars so I can pay for my MRI and the rest of my medical treatment that insurance is failing to cover.

It would mean the absolute world to me if, in God's gracious will, I'm able to get the money for my MRI. The team of doctors down in Kentucky has been amazing, and each day I've started to feel better and more like myself, and work back to the person I was before my injury. All I wish is to go back to playing the sport I love and taking care of animals without any pain or discomfort, but most importantly, I wish to continue playing softball for the Lord as He gave me this ability, passion, and love for softball.
