Help Danielle Kick Breast Cancer’s Ass
Donation protected
Hey friends,
At the end of March, I received shocking news after finding a small lump on one of my breasts. I was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer. After genetic testing, I also learned I carry a genetic mutation that increases my risk of developing breast cancer.
Everything has moved very quickly. On May 15th, I will undergo a bilateral mastectomy (surgery to remove both breasts), followed by chemotherapy.
As I prepare for this journey, I’ve been reaching out to support groups and learning from others who are have gone through this. One thing I've heard over and over is how important it is to make recovery as comfortable as possible.
Some essentials that would make a huge difference include:
An adjustable bed (for healing after surgery and during chemo)
A bidet
Mastectomy pillows and seatbelt covers
Compression bras
Front-closure tops with pockets for drainage tubes
Extra bed sheets
Sea bands for nausea
And many other comfort and recovery items
I honestly feel a little weird asking for help — it’s not easy to put myself out there. But the truth is: I’m scared, and I want to set myself up for the best possible healing process. Every little bit helps, and your support would mean the world to me during this fight.
Thank you. ( 人˃̵ᴗ˂̵)♡
