Support Danielle’s Fight Against Stage 3 Low-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer

Hi Everyone,

We’re reaching out to ask for your help and support for our beautiful friend Danielle, who is courageously battling 'stage 3 low-grade serous ovarian cancer', which is a rare and challenging form of cancer.

Danielle is just 37 years old, with her whole life ahead of her, she is the most upbeat, fun and caring person you could meet. She is such a blessing in all of our lives, always there for all of us, giving the best advice, and always manages to put a smile on the faces of those around her.

Sadly, Danielle was diagnosed with Cancer in August 2024.
In October, she underwent surgery to remove as much of the cancer as possible, and to have a full hysterectomy, but unfortunately, the operation did not go as planned.
After 3.5 hours into the surgery, surgeons were unable to proceed because the tumor was adhering to her large bowel, making it very unsafe to proceed. As a result, the surgery had to be cancelled and the cancer was unable to be removed.

Danielle then spent 11 days in the hospital recovering from the surgery, and had to digest the terrible news that they were unable to remove the cancer, which felt like a huge set back for us all.
During those 11 days, she was nil by mouth, leaving her significantly weakened. But Dan being Dan, took it all in her stride, and still managed to find smiles and make us laugh when we visited her.

Danielle now faces 18 weeks of intense chemotherapy starting early 2025. She needs to build up her strength through natural approaches to prepare her body for this intense treatment.
Chemotherapy is challenging and will weaken the immune system further.

Danielle has also been advised that chemotherapy may only have a 25-30% chance of being effective, but her doctors are determined to try it before even considering any clinical trials or alternative treatments.

Danielle and her lovely partner Danny underwent IVF multiple times in the past, enduring failed cycles, and sadly, has no children.
Despite these setbacks, she has shown immense courage, accepting the hysterectomy and what that means for her fertility and motherhood journey.

Her ability to take such difficult realities in her stride is a testament to her strength, resilience, and unwavering determination to fight this cancer!! She amazes us all every day.

Unfortunately, ovarian cancer is not detected by smear tests, which many people wrongly assume!
Symptoms are often dismissed as constipation or IBS, leading to delays in diagnosis.
This usually means ovarian cancer is detected in its later stages, as was the case for Danielle.

Anyone who knows Danielle will tell you, she has a massive heart, such a caring nature, and is always the one to make others laugh, even in the toughest of times. Her positivity and resilience inspire everyone around her, and now she needs our help to keep her strength up and focus solely on her fight.

Danielle’s main focus now is on regaining her strength, staying as healthy as possible during chemotherapy, and keeping her immune system strong.
However, this comes with significant costs for therapies and resources not covered by traditional care.

Your support will help her access:
• Organic, nutrient-dense foods to restore her appetite and nourish her body.
• Natural detox methods like infrared saunas to help her body process the toxins from chemotherapy.
• Holistic therapies to support her immune system and overall well-being.
• Wigs and headscarves for comfort and confidence during treatment.
• Essential supplements and supportive therapies to aid her recovery.
• Any other day to day necessities that you don't want to have to worry about whilst battling stage 3 cancer!

The therapies will be crucial in helping Danielle stay strong throughout treatment and will really give her the best possible chance to fight it!

Any contribution, big or small, will really make a difference.
Your generosity will allow Danielle to focus on her health and recovery without the added stress of financial worries. Being unable to work at the moment, the last thing we all want is for her to have anything else to worry about, this is why we've decided to create this fundraiser for her.

Even if you can’t donate, we just know sharing this page would mean the world to her! When we spoke with Danielle about fund raising, she was apprehensive at first, being the proud person she is, but in typical Dan fashion, thought she would also be able to help others, and said whatever is raised for her, she will donate a portion to St Lukes and St Francis Hospices, two amazing self funded charities that are close to her heart!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and love!
Let’s come together to help Danielle in this fight and give our girl the strength and support she needs to face the challenges that are ahead.

With all of our gratitude,
