Support Danielle's family during this tough time

Our friend Danielle and her family needs our help. Her father is not well and it's taking an emotional/financial toll on the whole family. Here is their story:

Danielle's dad had a stroke and massive brain aneurysm in March. The aneurysm lead to emergency brain surgery. He was seizing while under after coming back so it took a long time to wake up. Her mom visits him every single day. For a little he was defying their expectations...eating (when they weren't even sure he'd be able to swallow again on his own) and learning to walk again. Not having the ability to make many newer memories has been hard. He gets confused a lot. They thought eventually he could come home in some capacity....but things went downhill. New complications kept popping up. Post cancer treatment side effects lead to him losing a lot of blood because his kidneys are compromised. He was shutting down. He needed multiple risky surgeries and blood transfusions. He was so confused and agitated, but when they thought they had cauterized enough ...He started bleeding again only a few days later. They asked her mom if he should go for surgery again....but in the end they couldn't promise it would hold then either. Her mom was forced to make some agonizing decisions.

He's on hospice now and has trouble communicating more and more. Danielle is on medical family leave to help her parents, especially since her mom ended up in the ER from stress, lack of sleep and high blood pressure. Family medical leave is unpaid by her company. The state agreed to give her partial pay.

On top of it all, their dog, Gizzy is having heart failure. He needed to be rushed to the animal hospital which ended up costing them $5,000 to save him.
