Two months ago, my life changed when I was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, I’ve been receiving weekly treatments, and the days after each session are especially tough—I’m often too sick to work. My mom and twin brother have been incredible, doing everything they can to help me through this journey. Even with their support, the financial strain from weekly copays, medication costs, and trying to eat healthy is overwhelming. I’ve applied for social security and food assistance, but I’m still waiting to hear back. The food assistance I received was helpful, but it’s not enough to cover my needs.
