My name is Danielle, and I’m reaching out because I’m facing an unexpected and difficult journey with brain cancer. Just two days after my diagnosis, I had to go on leave from work, and the sudden change has turned my world upside down. I never imagined I’d be in this position, especially during the holidays, but short-term disability payments are slow to arrive, and the bills keep coming.

Right now, I’m struggling to keep up with essential expenses—my car payment and insurance are critical so I can get to all my medical appointments, and there are a lot of them. On top of that, I have to cover my cell phone, power, water, sewer, and all the other responsibilities. It’s a lot to manage, especially while focusing on my health and treatment.

This is my second round of treatment. We thought I had beaten this, but it came back with a vengeance. My family and I are doing our best to keep it together, but the drain is both physically and emotionally exhausting. While I know everyone is tight right now with the holidays, any help would be greatly appreciated—it will truly get me through.
