Support Danielle and Noah's Heart Surgery Journey

Some of you may know my friend Danielle and her sons, Noah and Nate. If you do, you may also know that they are going through a hard time right now. Danielle took Noah (who is 14 and has down syndrome) to his annual cardiology appointment in February and found out that his heart was/is not working as it should. He had open heart surgery as an infant and Danielle was told there was a 20% chance he would need a second surgery. Baystate consulted with Boston Children’s on what would be the best course of treatment and decided that Noah will need a second open heart surgery; it is scheduled for 6/16. Noah has been tired and waiting has been hard on all of them. Danielle is trying to make the best of things by taking the boys on little trips because their summer is full of unknowns. She will be out of work for 8 weeks; they will have to travel and stay in Boston for pre-op, surgery and post-op appointments and she won’t have her usual income while trying to manage these extra expenses. All this to say, Danielle needs help. Whatever you can do to support them would be extremely helpful.
