Hello, my name is Kelly McGrath, and I’ve created this page in hopes of easing some of the financial strain that Yola and Daniel may face in the coming months.

Daniel has recently been diagnosed with throat cancer. He has been receiving care in Madison & Baraboo which has already included surgery, numerous scans, and frequent doctor visits. After careful planning with his medical team, Daniel is scheduled to begin a rigorous radiation treatment plan in June.

Since undergoing surgery, Daniel has been unable to return to work. Due to ongoing medical treatments, regular appointments, and medically necessary restrictions—including a lifting limitation of no more than 20 pounds—he will remain unable to work until his treatment course is completed and sufficient healing has occurred.

Additionally, Daniel will require the use of a feeding tube to maintain adequate nutrition during treatment, as swallowing is expected to become increasingly difficult and painful. This measure is essential to ensure he meets nutritional requirements necessary for treatment effectiveness and overall recovery.

Yola is currently on maternity leave from her part-time job since giving birth to their second baby girl, Beatrice Grace, on March 17th. Beatrice and her big sister, Pearl, have brought tremendous joy and light during this challenging time.

As treatments begin, the financial burdens will continue to grow. With many of Daniel's appointments being an hour drive each way to Saint Mary Hospital in Madison, even gas becomes a significant expense.
