Hi everyone,

My name is Daniel. Many of you know me as a barber here in Toronto. Cutting hair has always been more than a job for me — it’s how I connect with people, build community, and support myself.

A few months ago, I received a diagnosis that completely changed my life. I’m now going through cancer treatment (BEP protocol), which is a very intense form of chemotherapy. Because of the treatment side effects and the physical toll, I won’t be able to work for the next 3 to 4 months. As a self-employed barber, that means I’ll have no income during this time.

This is something I never imagined needing to ask for, but right now I truly need help.

What the funds will be used for:

Your support will help me cover essential living costs while I focus fully on healing, including:

• Rent & utilities

• Groceries & daily living expenses

• Transportation to/from hospital appointments

• Medication & recovery supplies

• Basic bills while I’m out of work

The goal is simply to help me stay afloat until I’m healthy enough to get back behind the chair in early 2026.
