Support Daniel Sprouse's Healing Journey

My name is Dalton Mayo, and I am the current President of the Goochland Professional Firefighters. Today, I'm reaching out on behalf of one of our own, Daniel Sprouse, who urgently needs our support.
The GPFF was originally set to do a community engagement fundraiser however given the recent tropical storm that came through those efforts had to be postponed.
Earlier this year, Daniel discovered a blister on his foot—a small injury that rapidly worsened due to diabetic neuropathy. Despite his efforts to manage the condition, it continued to deteriorate, ultimately leading to the amputation of all the toes on his affected foot, as well as part of the foot itself.
I’ve had the privilege of knowing Daniel for 12 years, ever since I first started as a young and eager 16-year-old volunteer. Daniel was one of the few seasoned firefighters who took the time to mentor and guide the newer members, setting them on the path to successful careers and lives.
Daniel has been a cornerstone of our community since July 2009, when he became one of the original career firefighters in Goochland County. However, in 2016, a serious fall left him with lasting injuries, forcing him to transition to a civilian staff role where he has managed logistics for Goochland Fire-Rescue. Despite these challenges, Daniel has remained committed to serving our community.
Unfortunately, Daniel’s current health situation has kept him out of work since March as he undergoes the long and painful healing process. To make matters worse, he is on leave without pay—through no fault of his own or his employer. As the medical bills and everyday expenses continue to mount, Daniel needs our help now more than ever.
We are seeking donations to help Daniel buy the time he needs for a full recovery. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in his life and help ease the burden of his mounting.
