Support Daniel Reichert's Photography Exhibition at Vassar

To My Fellow Creatives,

My name is Nancy Kwang Johnson. I want to tell the world about my dear friend, Daniel Reichert. Daniel is one of my beloved Vassar College classmates, an American Conservatory Theatre-trained actor, and a talented photographer who specializes in headshots, and fine prints. https://www.danielreichert.com

On June 20, 2020, the height of the COVID-19 era, Daniel and I officially began our collaboration on the “Connecting Through the Camera” portrait project, a project that I conceptualized for my fellow Vassar College classmates.

Using lighting reminiscent of Rembrandt and Vermeer, Daniel effortlessly guided 116 portrait subjects through their respective self-discovery odysseys. Each portrait session was essentially a master class on how to be present, how to be vulnerable, and how to be self-aware. Daniel touches on this philosophy in the video (included on this page).

The James W. Palmer III Gallery, located in the Vassar College Center, will be housing the portraits of 116 classmates and highlighting Daniel's artistry (June 5, 2025 - August 31,2025).

Why am I setting up this GoFundMe page for Daniel? It’s simple. For the last five years, Daniel has selflessly devoted his time and energy to photographing his 116 classmates, at no charge, even amidst the uncertainty of the entertainment industry strikes. This fundraiser is our opportunity to honor Daniel for his artistry and generosity.
