Miraculously, Daniel's wife, Alix, their daughter, Camille, and their beloved dog, Lucy, who were just about 10 feet away from the impact, were unharmed physically. However, the emotional toll and the sudden loss of their home have been profound.

The house sustained significant damage, rendering it uninhabitable. Daniel and his family are now facing the immediate challenge of finding temporary housing, moving from a friend's house to a hotel, and then searching for a longer-term rental for the next 2-3 months.
