Hello everyone, my name is Ethan Balogh.
On the night of Sunday, September 14th, 2025, at approximately 9:30 PM, tragedy struck. My father, Daniel Balogh, was involved in a devastating boating accident that left him, his girlfriend, and two others in critical condition and rushed to a nearby trauma center. Three additional individuals were also involved, though thankfully they were later stabilized by emergency responders.
My father sustained life-altering injuries. Among them:
- A C7 burst fracture in his neck, dangerously close to paralysis
- A tibial fracture in his left leg
- Three fractures to his maxillary sinus
- A Grade III concussion
- A severe laceration to his right kneecap
- A bruised lower right kidney
He remains in the hospital — stable, but in immense pain — as doctors monitor his condition. The road to recovery is long and uncertain. At minimum, we are facing 10 weeks of physical healing, but his full rehabilitation could take 4 to 5 months or longer. That doesn’t include the emotional, mental, and financial toll this has taken on him and everyone who loves him.
His girlfriend, also critically injured, has been transferred to a trauma center in Miami where she is undergoing full facial reconstruction surgery. The ripple effects of this accident have left two families reeling, clinging to hope, and desperately trying to make sense of this unimaginable ordeal.
Let me be clear — my father is not the kind of man to ever ask for help. He’s built his life around hard work, integrity, and taking care of others before himself. He would never want to be in this position. But the truth is — he can’t work, and the medical bills are stacking up fast.
If you’ve ever been moved by the power of love, the strength of family, or the resilience of the human spirit — I’m asking you to stand with us. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or a prayer — every single act of support matters.
We are holding on to faith, hope, and love, as we fight alongside my father and everyone affected by this nightmare. We believe justice will be served, and that healing — no matter how long it takes — is possible.
Thank you for hearing our story. Thank you for helping carry this burden. Together, we will fight.
