My name is Dani and I’m a trans woman in Minneapolis, MN. After a decade of working and arguing and fighting with insurance and employers, I finally have bottom surgery scheduled for December this year. Unfortunately, a surgery like this means I will need to take 2-3 months unpaid leave for recovery time, and need to be able to stay housed during that time. This GoFundMe is to help with expenses associated with both the surgery and the recovery.
About Me:
I’m a trans woman who works an hourly job in Minneapolis. I love biking and cooking food for others and having arguments about Torah and Talmud. I came out as trans about a decade ago, and have since been working toward surgery so I can alleviate body dysphoria that’s plagued me my entire life. It’s hard for me to ask for funds, but I know this is something I can’t save for all of it on my own.
About My Costs:
I’ve calculated out the costs as follows:
-Rent: $3,000 for three months
-Surgery co-pay: $5,000
-Other expenses (food, basic needs, TP, etc): $2,000
