Support Dani & Krew in Saving Syaiga's Life

This is Syaiga, our 5-year-old fur baby. Yesterday, Mom found her lifeless on the floor, hardly breathing. She rushed her to the closest vet, hanging onto hope.

In all the chaos, shock, and concern, we quickly pieced together that Syaiga got into some candy, leading to the realization that she had Xylitol poisoning.

Thanks to Mom's ability to jump into action and stay focused in an emergency, we got her treatment within 15 minutes of being found. We won't know if she will make it until later today, and we won't know the extent of any liver damage until tomorrow.

For those that don't know, Xylitol is HIGHLY toxic, almost instantaneously, to dogs. It causes them to seize, lose control of their bowels, vomit, lose all muscle control, etc. Often times, fatal. Had Mom not been home, Syaiga wouldn't have had a chance.

She is now being treated at CAVES in Concord. She required an ultrasound, bloodwork every 12 hours, blood sugar and liver testing every 2 hours, and around-the-clock saline cocktail IV for a minimum of 48 hours. She is currently still in the doggy ICU.

Here's the thing. It's just Mom and 4 kids. Mom always gives and does so much for others, without batting an eye, and while very rarely ever asking for help herself in times of need. Doesn't matter if she is facing her own life challenges. If loved ones need her, she is there, doing whatever she can. Unfortunately, life has been hitting us HARD since the beginning of May. We have lost family and friends very unexpectedly. Mom had a loss of income, in addition to her van breaking down twice, her washer broke, the electrical in the home needed to be repaired, the plumbing isn't working right, and she needed to replace her cell phone. Now we are faced with an $8,000 veterinarian bill.

We have applied for Scratchpay, CareCredit, and All Pets Card. We have put together very little on our own towards the bill, and we are just tapped out. We have exhausted all of our own resources and now we need to reach out and ask for support to help us cover the rest, so we can get Sy~Sy home to her family. We miss her very much.
