Our dear and wonderful friend Dan has been diagnosed with cancer of the Esophagus.

Daily radiation and chemotherapy are scheduled to start in July, and will continue into the Fall.

Their (Dan, Rachel & Claire's) summer will be spent focused on fighting their best and hardest fight yet.

Treatment will leave Dan unable to work for an undetermined but lengthy amount of time.

Always being the people who will do anything for anyone else, it is challenging for Dan and Rachel to accept support, but their friends and family are determined to make sure they put all of their energy into healing rather than worrying about the "little things".

In an effort to ease their burden, we have put together this page and are asking for donations. Funds raised will be used for things such as supplies and medication not covered, monthly household expenses, meals, home support, childcare, gas for travelling to and from Saint John (this is an hour and a half drive - one way), and other things that may arise-such as overnight stays at hotels when necessary.

No amount is too small. Every donation will truly make a difference and be much appreciated.

If you are unable to donate, there are other ways to support them in their fight. Gift cards to places that make milkshakes/smoothies (Pita Pit, Dairy Queen, Coras etc), gas cards (Esso, Costco, Canadian Tire), etc. Prayers and positive vibes are also welcomed and encouraged!

We know that Dan's strength, heart and perseverance will shine through during this difficult journey. His fighting spirit combined with all of our unwavering love and support is the ultimate recipe for him to kick cancer's ass!
