Story

My name is Dana Newberry. I’m 42 years old. I’ve lived in georgia my whole life. I’ve been married to my husband Scott almost 20 years. We have an 18 yo daughter named AJ, and she is our world. As of last Thursday I recieved the diagnosis of cirrhosis of the liver. I have gotten the referral to Emory hospital in Atlanta, GA for evaluation for liver transplant. I am uninsured and I have been unemployed since having to quit my job to take care of my dying mother who passed away last February. My husband is awaiting disability verdict. I am the primary caretaker for my husband and daughter. I am use to be the one taking care of people. I have worked in the medical field almost all my life. I am very nervous about this. I have never asked anyone for anything in my whole life. I am trying to raise money to get into the specialist. Thank you in advance for everything.
