A Mother’s Love Almost Cost Her Life Please Help Her Recover

My name is Dana, and on June 22, 2025, my mother’s selfless act of love nearly killed her.

It happened at our home a place that was supposed to be safe. Three pit bulls from a neighbor’s yard broke through into ours and launched a brutal attack on our tiny dachshund puppy. In a moment of pure instinct and courage, my mom did what any loving parent would do she ran to save her.

But in trying to protect a helpless puppy, she became the victim.

The dogs turned on her.

They mauled her so severely that she had to be life-flighted to a trauma hospital nearly two hours away.

Every single day since then has been a battle.

We now make the long, draining drive to the hospital daily just to be with her. She’s undergone painful procedures, and we’ve barely scratched the surface of what recovery will demand physically, emotionally, and financially.

We need help and we need it now.

Medical costs are growing fast. Travel expenses, time off work, medications, and aftercare it’s overwhelming. My mom has always been the kind of woman who gives without asking for anything back. But now, I’m asking for her. She doesn’t deserve to suffer alone or in silence.
