My name is Dana, and a few months ago, I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. The cancer has spread, causing polyps to develop in my vaginal cavity and on my vulva area. This diagnosis has completely changed my life, and I am now undergoing an intensive chemotherapy treatment called FOLFOX. Each cycle involves a 2-3 hour infusion in my arm, followed by a 48-hour infusion through a port in my chest. After each round, I have a short break before starting the process again. The treatments are exhausting, but I am doing everything I can to fight this disease.
Because of my diagnosis and the side effects of treatment, I am unable to return to work for the foreseeable future. This has made it extremely difficult to keep up with both my medical bills and everyday household expenses like rent, utilities, and groceries. The financial strain is growing, and it's time to swallow my pride and admit I need help, so I am reaching out for help so I can focus on my health and recovery without the constant worry about how to cover these essential costs.
Any support you can offer will go directly toward my medical treatments and the basic expenses that allow me to stay in my home and continue my fight. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any help you can provide, whether it's monetary or words of encouragement. Your kindness means more than words can express.
