Support Dana's BBQ Dream Amidst Challenges

I am Sandra Ramsey, Dana Neely's mother. I am trying to raise funds for my daughter's restaurant to keep Dana's dream alive & Girls Gone BBQ living.
My daughter Dana isn't just a BBQ pitmistress; she's a resilient & determined woman.
Dana dreamed of creating an inclusive BBQ experience that brought people together & spread pure smoky joy. After 12 years in Seattle honing her skills, Dana packed up her life & relocated to Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2020, determined to make her dream a reality. And she did – Girls Gone BBQ became a brick & mortar in 2022!
But Dana's path has been one of extraordinary challenges. She persevered through having to delay opening GGBBQ due to COVID, being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 & enduring 9 surgeries along with radiation through her cancer treatment from 2021-2023.
Recently, something even more unimaginable happened, especially for a pitmistress/pitmaster. A tick bite left Dana with alpha-gal syndrome, a severe allergy to red meat & mammal-derived products. In a single moment, the heart of her business became off-limits. She's no longer able to be on the smoker anymore. She can't touch red meat nor can she breath it. This includes pulled pork, brisket, ribs & sausage. All the things that encompass being a pitmistress are now off-limits to Dana & she can no longer do her job.
Even while heartbroken & devastated, Dana is determined to find a way to keep the smoker billowing & her team working. The goal is to hire & train someone to help Dana’s chef & manager Quincy uphold the same amazing quality GGBBQ is known for. Dana will still be the face of the business, just outside of the kitchen. This transition isn't cheap, & there's no small business "allergy to meat" insurance policy.
That's where you come in – Dana's family, friends, loyal customers, & the larger BBQ-loving community. Here's how you can help:
* **Donate:** Anything you can give will make a massive difference in helping Dana hire top talent & ease the financial burden of this transition.
* **Spread the Word:** Share our Go Fund Me far & wide! Use social media, tell your fellow BBQ fanatics; every share helps her find more supporters.
* **Visit Girls Gone BBQ:** Don't forget, the best way to help is to come to enjoy the incredible food Dana so lovingly built.
It's been a rough road, but Dana isn't giving up, & we shouldn't either. Let's show her that with a community behind her, Girls Gone BBQ will thrive as the legacy she always dreamed it would be.
**Thank you for believing in Dana & the power of the BBQ spirit!**
