On November 4th, Typhoon Tino struck Cebu Province in the Philippines, and my family’s home city Danao was among the hardest hit.

The typhoon left our entire neighbourhood submerged, central bridges destroyed, electricity cut off, and thousands of people and families are now displaced with limited access to food and clean drinking water. All of the homes on their street, in the neighbourhood, and throughout the whole city of Danao have been severely damaged , and some completely destroyed.

My heart breaks for the people of Danao city who have lost their homes, their belongings, and everything they’ve worked so hard for. They've shown nothing but resilience and gratitude for their lives during this time, but they need our support as they continue to face the challenges of this devastating aftermath.
