Support Dana Along His Recovery Journey
Donation protected
Dana is one in a million. Anyone who truly knows him knows what kind of a man he is. He loves God, loves his family, and loves serving others. He is loyal and a true friend. He really is one of the nicest, most caring people. He owns his own IT network company and recently took on a side gig to help supplement our income by working in a private, residential home program for special needs adults. He is a mentor who helps those in the homes go to appointments, run errands, go to events, and support them as they work toward personal goals.
On July 3, 2025, the unthinkable happened. While working in one of the homes, a student began attacking another student and Dana got caught in the middle trying to protect one student and stop the other from harming others. In the process, Dana was stabbed twice, once across his arm and into his abdomen.
After initial surgery in Coeur d'Alene, it was determined his abdomen injury was too complicated for their facility and he would need specialists. He was flown by Life Flight to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where the most advanced team in the Northwest was available to oversee his needs.
Between July 3 and July 5, he underwent three additional surgeries to repair the damage. He lost his spleen and part of his pancreas. His pancreas was saved by the most wonderful Dr. Grant O'Keefe, the number one pancreatic surgeon on the West Coast (in our book).
We are told he has a long recovery with many speed bumps along the way. The prayers and support of our community have been tremendous. So many have asked how they can financially contribute to his needs, and so I have set up this fundraiser for that request as well as to share updates.
We appreciate anything anyone is able to send - all funds will go toward supporting Deanna and me while we are in Seattle and helping recover part of his lost wages. We know times are hard for all and will be just as happy to receive your continued prayers.
