Support Dan Williams' Heart Transplant Journey

Hi, we are Gary and Angela Piatelli we are fundraising for our Brother In Law Dan Williams.

On May 1, the first official day that Dan Williams retired, Dan went to the ER, he was fighting a lingering cold and had some shortness of breath so he went in for a chest X-ray. While he was in the ER, he had a heart attack and was immediately sent the the cardiac Cath Lab. After a four hour procedure, he was sent to the Cardiac ICU with two stints, and hooked up to an Impella pump to help his heart work, as there was some significant damage done to his heart

Dan has remained in the CV ICU on an Impella heart pump for two weeks. After his amazing team of doctors and nurses have monitored, cared for and assessed Dan and due to the amount of damage sustained because of the heart attack, a decision to have Dan transferred to Hollywood Memorial Hospital in Hollywood FL for extensive testing and to add Dan to the Heart Transplant List. Dan and his wife Missy and son Joey have a long journey ahead of them.

He has private health Insurance and we are hoping for the best, but because of the extent of the multiple surgeries, specialized care, recovery and rehabilitation he needs, we are hoping to help the Williams family in any way we can.
