Support Dan Stanton's Battle with Colon Cancer

Donation protected
Hi friends. I need to share some upsetting news about my stepdad, Dan Stanton.

We found out through a colonoscopy back in August that he has stage 4 colon cancer. He first went to Lehey clinic, and then to Dana Farber in Boston for a second opinion, but now they are back with their original doctor. There are two large tumors in his colon, and a number of them in his liver. The doctors didn’t give them much hope initially. However, after a few months and after having some genetic testing done, we got the good news that he is eligible for new treatments! Dan will start two of them in the next week or so. One is a chemo pill, and the other is an IV that Dan will go into the office regularly to get. They can do another scan after a month to see if the tumors have shrunk.

But the doctor visits, 4 hour immunotherapy treatments two times a week, 6 -7 hours of hyperbaric chamber sessions each week, plus a very strict all organic diet are expensive! Insurance does not cover everything, and because of a high deductible, these treatments plus colonoscopies, scans, MRIs and pet scans have cost them a lot of money out of pocket. Dan’s boss has been extremely generous and supportive by continuing to pay him weekly during the time he’s been out of work, however the continued costs have put a strain on their finances.

Dan and my mom are both very positive and hopeful that these tumors will shrink. Dan seems to be getting stronger every day, and he has a good amount of energy. If you want to contribute anything to help cover these costs we would appreciate it so much! It will make a huge difference in all of our lives. Thank you!
