Support Dan Rowley's Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
Hello everyone my name is Bri and many of you may know my father, Daniel Rowley, some of you may know him as Dan, Danny, Dan, Dan the Drywall Man, or as the proud owner of, Dan Rowley Drywall. What some of you may not know is that my father suffered a medical crisis which has impacted his ability to work without depreciating his health further. Because of this, I am reaching out to his community, friends and loved ones for help during this difficult time.
On Monday, my father sought medical treatment due to experiencing a variety of symptoms including dizziness and vision loss. Upon extensive testing, the results confirmed he experienced an acute Ischemic stroke. This has been a scary week for our family but we are thankful that he has stabilized and his symptoms from the stroke have not worsened. He was released from Covenant Hospital this afternoon and is home resting.
At this time, my Dad continues to experience peripheral vision loss in his right eye, dizziness, and prism vision which currently impacts his ability to move around safely within his environment, drive and work. The next 3 months have been identified as the “most important” phase in the recovery process for stroke patients and is where the bulk of recovery occurs. In hopes of returning to “as close to normal” as possible, my Dad must focus on rest, health and recovery along with numerous aftercare appointments and outpatient therapies. My Dad has always had a very strong work-ethic; he never takes a sick day and always pushes through but this time he needs to prioritize himself.
Our family does not have the financial means to support extended time away from work and it is vital to my Dad’s health and recovery that he can take the time he needs to heal before returning back to his daily activities and work in the community We are asking for continued prayers and any support is greatly appreciated to bridge the financial gap while we navigate the Social Security and Medicare system. Any donations received will assist in maintaining household expenses, medical bills, food expenses and gas funds with transportation assistance.
