Hi all, I am Kristina Cannedy, daughter of Dan Rigdon. My dad was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease 13 years ago from prostate cancer. It completely shut down the left kidney. He started chemo and radiation and went into remission for 13 years. Fast forward to 2022, the cancer came back and had spread to his lymph nodes. He started 5 rounds of targeted radiation to shrink the cancer. In March of 2024, he went through 6 rounds of radiation every 3 weeks. In May of this year, PET scans showed that the cancer had come back aggressively as stage 4 metastatic and spread to his pelvis and lungs. On July 1st, 2025, he will be starting targeted radiation that was approved here in the US in 2022. This will hopefully increase his lifespan by a couple more years, allowing him to enjoy time with his family. With all these radiation and chemo treatments, it has put a struggle on keeping up with medical bills and everyday needs.
