For years, our beloved Dan Meriwether has bravely battled cancer with unwavering strength and resilience. Now, as he enters hospice care, we are preparing for the heartbreaking reality of saying goodbye.

Dan has been so much more than a husband, father, grandfather, and friend—he has been a source of laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love. Whether it was his quick wit, his generous spirit, or the way he could make anyone feel at home in his presence, he left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

As we cherish the time we have left with him, we are also faced with the financial burden of laying him to rest. Our goal is to raise $1,250 to ensure he is given a burial that reflects the love and respect he deserves. Dear friends and family,

It is with profound sadness that we share the news that Dan passed peacefully in his sleep on March 7th. While our hearts ache from his loss, we take comfort in knowing he is finally at rest and free from pain.

We also want to update you on our GoFundMe campaign. The platform is still making adjustments to our goal—a process that is completely beyond our control. Despite this, our focus remains on honoring Dan’s memory in the way he deserves. We are gathering funds to lay him to rest at his sister’s grave, a place that held special meaning for him, and we are also raising money for a headstone that will celebrate his life and legacy.

Today we invite you to join us as we gather to honor and celebrate Dan Meriwether’s life. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd, at 11:00 AM at the Pierce City Cemetery.
