Support Dan Meier's Road to Recovery

My name is Kristin Brown and on August 10, 2024 my friend Dan Meier was hit by a truck on his typical 50+ mile morning bike ride. He sustained head trauma on his right side and is continuing to undergo numerous surgeries.

I first met Dan through his wife Jessica whom I have known since 1992. Dan and Jessica are loving, gracious, positive people with varying degrees of enthusiasm for camping, hiking, biking, and the Green Bay Packers. They are silly, fun and joyful and contribute endlessly to those blessed to know them. Their light is reflected in their three boys—Jack, Charlie and Hudson, who are thoughtful, kind, free-spirited and curious with excellent taste in toys and donuts.

Last week, I took the Meier boys to a playground and had to park far away. I told them, “this is going to be a bit of a hike” to get to the park and the enthusiastic response from the backseat was, “WE LOVE HIKES!” I turned around and said, “I did not mean a literal hike! You are your father’s children.”

Jessica is a first grade teacher at St. Paul Lutheran School and has Charlie in her class this year. Unfortunately, she will have to take off for the foreseeable future to facilitate 24/7 nursing needs and care for Dan. This funding will go directly to Dan, Jessica and their children to offset medical expenses and assist with the long-road to recovery. We ask for your continued prayers for a miraculous recovery.
