Dan Kimble has always been known for his independence and willingness to help others, but recently he has faced a series of serious health challenges. After suffering two strokes and experiencing a significant loss of eyesight, Dan was hospitalized. During his stay, doctors discovered he has type 2 diabetes and a hole in his heart, which means his heart is only functioning at 20% capacity. While in the hospital, Dan also experienced hemorrhaging behind his eyes and suffered two more strokes, making his recovery even more difficult.

Now that Dan is home, he is unable to work and is facing mounting medical bills and the uncertainty of when or if he will be able to receive disability coverage.
